Delivering the design of a high-capacity, high-frequency interchange.

Enhancing connectivity and passenger comfort, the new interchange includes a fully-accessible covered concourse with seating and 18 bus stands, supporting a high-frequency service with capacity for 164 departures per hour. Adjacent to the interchange is a residential development comprising 196 homes.

This project is a joint venture between Stockport Council, Transport for Greater Manchester, and the Greater Manchester Combined Authority, delivered in partnership with the developer CityRise.

TACE took over the design at RIBA Stage 3, conducted a thorough review and redesign, and continued through to handover.
