Redevelopment of Sandilands Community Primary School in Manchester.
Working alongside Tilbury Douglas, we have recently completed the redevelopment of Sandilands Community Primary School in Wythenshawe, Greater Manchester, as part of the government’s school rebuilding programme.
The project involved constructing a modern two-storey building to replace the existing single-storey structure. The new facility includes 20 classrooms, special educational needs (SEN) spaces and a sensory garden. Sustainability was a key focus, with features such as photovoltaic canopies and electric vehicle charging points incorporated to achieve net-zero carbon in operation. The phased construction approach ensured minimal disruption to students and staff throughout the process.
